How the Grandmasters played Rook endgames in 2009…

A very instructive article by GM Valeriy Aveskulov

The year 2010 is coming and we're analyzing the mistakes of the past year. I would like to show you three rook endings that were played by strong Grandmasters. The first ending appeared in the game Aveskulov-Moiseenko from the Turkish Team League. Next endgame, Tregubov-Akobian, was played in the recently finished World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk. Finally, we will see Gashimov-Stellwagen.
